Bullets in the Heart (Kulor i hjärtat)
Cilla Naumann
Bullets in the Heart contains eight short stories, which all differ and all in their own ways balance on the edge of happiness and fear. The stories all have the same main character but are on completely different subjects – together they form the story of a life. One is about mysterious and scary events during a bike ride in the dark. Another about exposing someone to danger without meaning it and a third tells about love.
The main character in the stories is the same little brother as in Cilla Nauman’s earlier young adult novel The Worst Brother.
Nominated to the prestigious August prize 2009 in the category “Best Swedish children and youth book of the year”. Winner of the Nils Holgersson prize 2010.

Reviews
"With the stores in Bullet In The Heart Cilla Naumann guides us into the most secret place of a young boys heart. The intrigue is knife sharp. With a distinguished language she keeps the reader in a shivering and suspenseful grip on the very boarder to the unpleasant.”
The Nils Holgersson prize jury
"The teenage years. The time is a chaotic mix of weight and seriousness we all remember, but only a few can give justice in words. Cilla Nauman knows how to, and Bullets in the Heart is a book I wish I had gotten a chance to read back then, and that I am very happy I get to read now."
