Operation Polar Bear (Operasjon Isbjørn)

Eirik Wekre

A wave of tragical family murders shake Norway and the resources of the police force are strained.

Hege Tønnesen is on leave from the security forces and must, very reluctantly, take responsibility for the investigation. In Rendalen a mother and her daughter are brutally executed and their house is burned to the ground. The main suspect, the father, a special trained soldier in the Haerens armed forces, has mysteriously disappeared.

During the intense search for the father, Hege suspects that someone is sabotaging her work. She realizes that this case is part of something bigger than the investigation she is involved in. The insights will lead her to Svalbard, and into a violent and icy battle on life and death.
