The Kreuger Murders (Kreugermorden)

Hans-Olov Öberg

The fifth crime novel about Micke Norell: an international page turner about big and small betrayal.

The old man Elof Edgren has carried a secret his whole life. Facts that only need one more piece of the puzzle, and it will turn history up-side-down about the financier Ivar Kreuger. When he one day gets unexpected expert help in his research, he doesn’t hesitate and shortly thereafter the scandal is a reality.

One of those Edgren has contacted to tell his theories is Micke Norell, who at start follows the events from a distance. But when a close friend is killed, and Edgren also disappears, Micke Norell sees no other option than to get involved. The hunt for the killer takes him to New York, Istanbul and a small Italian town, before he gets back to Stockholm and an unexpected resolution to the story.

The KreugerMurders is a story about betrayal, small and large, and a post in the in the debate on whether the market is always right (it is not) and a story about where the boundaries of moral goes when close ones are threatened.
