The Singing Bird (Sangfuglen)

Inger Wolf

An early morning in May, the police find the mangled body of Maja Nielsen in the City Hall Park in Århus. She has fallen from a high position and her right arm is badly stabbed. Everything points to suicide and when the investigating police team dives into her world, they find a young woman suffering from persecution mania and with violent night mares. Something has been tormenting Maja.

The investigation leads vice Superintendent Daniel Trokic and his team to a unique blood profile with traces of an unknown substance, a tattooed Colombian, and an extremely relentless animal rights activist who was hit in a hit-and-run accident. The team begins to see a bloody pattern.

The Singing Bird is the third stand alone book in the series about Daniel Trokic, the vice Superintendent with Croatian background, his colleague Lisa Kornelius and the rest of  the investigating team at the Århus Police Department.
