Life at the Southern Swedish town’s police station is moving right along, but Claes Claesson is worried about becoming a father for the first time, although he is not a young man any more. But he soon has other things to think about when a doctor dies after being hit by someone while skiing. At first it appears to be a tragic accident, but things become much more complicated when one of the doctor’s colleagues is found murdered. Can it be just by chance that two people connected to the hospital have died in such a short period? Slowly, the picture develops for Claes Claesson and his partners, but as they approach the answer to the mystery, they must work fast to prevent another murder.
