Lars Rambe is an energetic author who mixes intelligent text with picturesque descriptions of landscapes and people. He masters drama, both in the crimes and in the main characters’ working and family lives. Being a practicing lawyer Lars Rambe has an expansive sense of judicial emotion. To this he adds the themes of manipulation, group pressure and outsider status into his tales, which fill them with additional power.

 

The stories take place in the idyllic county of Södermanland in the very heart of Sweden. With a masterly sharpness he blends historical events with contemporary occurrences. The mix is sometimes violent and always a skillfully constructed mosaics.

 

Lars Rambe and his family live in Kenya where his wife works with development work. Lars Rambe devides his time between being an author, a part time lawyer and of course, being a father.
