Lars Rambe masters drama, both in the crimes and in the main characters’ working and family lives. He has an expansive sense of judicial emotion and adds the themes of manipulation, group pressure and outsider status into his tales, which fill them with additional power.

 

A few years ago, the lawyer Lars Rambe decided to try his hand on something he had dreamt of for many years – writing a mystery novel. As a newcomer to the town of Strängnäs he was curious on his new home town. What could be a better way to get to know it than by letting a criminal history take place in it? The result was an ingenious story about murder, betrayal, love and secret alliances taking off a winter night in the 60´s and unfolding hair-raisingly in present time.

 

The Clue on the Pier came out from his own publishing company Kura Skymning in the spring of 2007. With enthusiasm and persistence Lars Rambe took on the work of launching and selling a book! During the first year he found himself signing books at over 50 booksellers, visiting a number of libraries, participating in radio and television and giving author presentations at various companies and organizations. To be out there talking about his book, turned out to be a very efficient method and the first issue of the book sold out quickly and new books were printed. 2009 Pocketförlaget released it in paperback .
