The August Prize 2011 for the best Swedish book of non-fiction was rewarded to Elisabeth Åsbrink and her fabolous book. Varm and heartfelt congratulations!

We welcome Åsa Anderberg Strollo to Grand Agency. Åsa Anderberg Strollo’s third novel Hope was released in September at Gilla Böcker and was immediately rewarded with a "Spårhunden", the Swedish Crime Writer Academy award for the best Youth Detective Novel of the Year. Her previous books are Breaking change and Blood.

The first part in The Engelsfors Trilogy, The Circle (Cirkeln), by Sara B. Elfgren and Mats Strandberg, is nominated in the category best Swedish YA title of the year. Congratulations Maria Ernestam, Prize Winner in France! Maria Ernestam has won the booksellers prize Prix Page des Libraires for her novel Buster’s Ears. The French title is Les Oreilles de Buster and the publisher is Gaïa Éditions.
Elisabeth Åsbrink is number one on the critic’s list. Her new book And In Wienerwald The Trees Still Remain (Och i Wienerwald står träden kvar) is found on top of the prestigious critic’s list in Dagens Nyheter, Sweden’s leading newspaper. Katerina Janouch reaches top three at the best seller list. This month her new novel Tiger Woman (Tigerkvinnan) goes straight to the third place in the newspaper Svensk Bokhandel’s sales rating. The series of midwife Cecilia Lund (Piratförlaget) is a big success, with a constantly growing number of readers.
In addition, Kajsa Ingemarsson is number four with Somewhere within us (Någonstans inom oss). On the nonfiction we find Markus Lutteman/Patrik Sjöberg’s What You Did Not See (Det du inte såg) at third place. And in the teenage/YA category we once again find The Circle (Cirkeln) by Sara B. Elfgren and Mats Strandberg.

What You Did Not See (Det du inte såg) about high jumper Patrik Sjöberg by Markus Lutteman is at second place at the nonfiction list. Anna Jansson climbs to the sixth place on the hard cover fiction list with her new detective novel The Eternal Flame of Alchemy (Alkemins eviga eld) and her last book Sleepwalker (Drömmen förde dig vilse) climbs to fifth place on the paperback list.
New authors at Grand Agency are Cilla and Rolf Börjlind, who have written a number of praised manuscripts for tv and movies, and are now starting to write crime novels. The first book will be released by Norstedts in the autumn of 2012. More information will follow. A warm welcome!

Grand Agency greets the Norwegian thrillerwriter Eirik Wekre welcome to the agency. Later on we will present more information about the author and the popular thriller series that Gyldendal in Norway and Modtryk in Denmark publishes.

Anna Jansson takes the tenth place on the fiction top list with her new detective novel The Eternal Flame of Alchemy (Alkemins eviga eld) and the pocket edition of her last book Sleepwalker (Drömmen förde dig vilse) got the seventh position on the paper back list. Congratulations to Jenny Jägerfeld who’s book Here I Lie Bleeding On The Floor (Här ligger jag och blöder) will be rewarded The Great Reader’s Price in the category teenage books. The Great Reader’s Price is handed out by Bokcirklar.se, one of the largest book blogs in Sweden run by the county and region libraries in Sweden. The winner is elected by the readers and the ceremony will take place March 19 at the City Library i Stockholm.
Together with nine other European authors Maria Ernestam has been nominated to the Prix Littéraire Inter-CE 2011 in France. The nomination concerns the novel Toujours avec toi (Always With You/Alltid hos dig). The nominated authors are all quality writers published by smaller or middle sized publishing houses in Europe and France. The winner will be announced in October 2011. Congratulations Maria!

Jenny Jägerfeld's Here I Lie, Bleeding on the Floor won the August Price 2010 in the category children’s and teenager books. The book is also nominated to The Swedish Writer’s Union’s annual price Slangbellan (The Slingshot), for best debutant writing for children and teenagers and to bokcirkar.se:s price Läsarpriset (The Reader's price) 2010 in the category YA. The two latter prize ceremonies are on March 10th and March 9th. Congratulations and good luck Jenny.
It’s now official that Henrik Fexeus will be a member of the jury for Talang 2011 on Swedish TV4. This year’s season will start April 1 and Fexeus’ colleagues in the jury are the oldies Bert Karlsson and Charlotte Perrelli.
We congratulate Karin Wahlberg who is on 2nd place on the Swedish paperback retailer list with The Death of Carpet Dealer Olsson.
